[Презентация] Due to the country's location on the Baltic Sea coast, there is a lot of fish here. And the main diet of Latvians is represented by fish dishes. Latvian cuisine is distinguished by a strange combination of ingredients when preparing a dish. For example, Latvians prepare milk soup with fish. Dairy, sweet and bread soups are popular in this country. The menu of Latvian restaurants offers a wide variety of fish dishes. The national cuisine uses herring, mackerel, cod, flounder, lamprey, salmon, herring, bream, carp, pike, and perch. Latvians eat fried, smoked and baked fish. several dishes from Latvian cuisine: silkupudiņš – herring casserole with boiled potatoes; zivjupudins – cod casserole; peasant breakfast - meat products baked in a milk-egg mixture. Popular desserts in Latvia: Vecriga cake, buberte (semolina porridge with whipped cream), bread yogurt Alexander cake with raspberries and cranberries ice cream with rye bread and berry jam.
